- My guest today is Danielle Melton of Boss Mom Crew. Danielle is a school principal, mom of 4, and the founder of Boss Mom Crew (BMC). BMC is a tribe of working moms who celebrate and support each other in their journey of motherhood and their careers. Their mission is to provide a community for working moms seeking sisterhood, resources, and empowerment— showcasing and supporting their hard work and talents while propelling them in fulfilling their own purpose and passion in work and life.
WHAT WE DISCUSS
- Danielle and I discuss her early life in Buffalo, New York and her move to Tulsa in 2000 with her family. She talks about how both of her parents inspired her in different ways. We discuss her mentors and how she had an entrepreneurial spirit even from the age of 12. She shares about her educational background in early childhood education and her many different roles including a teacher, childcare director, director of operations, and school principal. You’ll hear about how she became a mom in 2016 and how through that experience, she was seeking support and connection from working moms. When she couldn’t find what she was looking for, she decided to create it, and Boss Mom Crew was born. At the end, you will hear about the upcoming events and the future of Boss Mom Crew.
