My guest today is Shae Haning, owner and master tailor of Tallgrass Tailor. Tallgrass Tailor provides high-quality, consistent, and convenient alterations from hemming to waist adjustments, altering sleeve lengths, attaching patches and so much more. They have been serving Tulsans since 2017 and are the highest-rated, most reviewed alterations and tailoring service in Oklahoma.

WHAT WE DISCUSS

Shae and I discuss growing up on the east coast, how being a gymnast throughout childhood shaped her, and the variety of sports and activities she participated in throughout high school. She shares how she fell in love with Shakespeare, and how she became involved in costume making for plays. You’ll hear about her Degree of Professional Studies in Fashion Design and Apparel Development from Marist college. With her dad as a sculpting artist and her mom in defensive logistics, she describes how the unique skill sets of both of her parents had important influences on where she is today. Last, you’ll hear about the evolution of the name from Tulsa Tailor to Tallgrass Tailor, upcoming projects she is working on, and some of her favorite past projects.
